1. Who you are buying from
Vinci Parts is a trading name of VINCI REPAIRES LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 15739605.
Registered office: 8 Royal Parade, London, England, W5 1ET. This is our address for legal correspondence, not a collection or parts-return location. Contact us for the correct return address before sending a part.
Email: contact@vinciparts.co.uk. WhatsApp: +44 7570 662869 (messages only). You can also write to our registered office or use your existing case or order conversation.
These terms cover UK parts orders accepted by Vinci Parts, including orders agreed through our website, email or messages. We are your seller and remain responsible for the goods we sell, including where we source them from another business.
You are a consumer when buying wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession. Consumer rights in these terms apply to consumers. A business account, a garage label or a VAT invoice does not by itself remove those rights. Genuine business purchases remain subject to applicable business-sale law and any separate trade terms expressly agreed before ordering; we do not apply an automatic trade-only exclusion to every customer.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. In particular, cancellation exceptions and our additional warranty do not remove remedies for faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or wrongly supplied goods.
2. Requests, quotations and your order
Requesting a quote is free and does not oblige you to buy. Check the selected items, quantities, condition, included fittings, vehicle compatibility, any painting specification, total price, delivery arrangement and quote expiry before accepting. Used parts may have wear or disclosed cosmetic defects; the agreed description and photographs form part of what we promise to supply.
Supply accurate registration, VIN, part numbers and vehicle details, including modifications, and tell us about any change. We remain responsible for our descriptions and any fitment advice you reasonably rely on. A registration lookup alone is not a guarantee that every variant fits.
Your order is an offer to buy. A request acknowledgement, saved quotation or payment instruction is not, by itself, acceptance. The sale contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of the selected order in writing. We check availability and confirmed payment before purchasing or dispatching your parts. If we cannot accept or fulfil an item, we tell you promptly and return the corresponding payment; a substitute requires your agreement.
The terms supplied for your order apply to that order. Later website changes do not retrospectively change an accepted contract. Keep your quote, order confirmation and correspondence.
3. Prices, payment and additional charges
Consumer prices are in pounds sterling and include applicable VAT. The order summary identifies parts, agreed painting, optional services and delivery. Only the payment methods actually offered for your order are available. Where card payment is offered, it is available only for an authoritative order total of £1,000 or less; larger orders require bank transfer.
If a part can be purchased before a bespoke delivery price is available, the order must clearly state that delivery is still to be agreed. We obtain your express agreement to a separate delivery charge before dispatch. It is an additional charge, not an instalment plan. You may choose an available collection option instead. We will not impose an undisclosed delivery charge or take an extra payment without your agreement.
Tell us promptly if you disagree with a later delivery quote. We will discuss collection or cancellation; your statutory cancellation rights remain available, and any charge outside those rights is governed by section 9. We do not treat a payment notification or uploaded transfer confirmation as proof that funds have cleared.
4. Delivery and collection
Standard delivery is normally 5–10 working days from our written order acceptance and receipt of cleared payment, unless a different period is agreed before ordering. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays in England and Wales. Painting, unusual parts and separately quoted transport may need a different agreed timetable.
We tell you about material delays. Unless we agree otherwise, consumer goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract. If an essential agreed deadline is missed, we refuse delivery, or delivery is not made within an appropriate additional period you give us where required, you may end the affected contract and receive the refund required by law. We do not exclude these rights because a supplier or courier caused the delay.
Goods normally remain at our risk until you, or a person you nominate, physically receive them. Different rules apply if you independently commission a carrier we have not offered. A signature confirms delivery; it does not prove that hidden damage is absent or waive a claim.
Collection is by arrangement from the location in your order. Do not travel until we confirm that the parts are ready. A contract concluded at a distance can still have cancellation rights when the goods are later collected.
5. Inspecting parts, glass and fitment
Inspect all parts promptly and before fitting, painting, coding or modifying them. Please tell us within 7 days if a part appears wrong, incomplete or damaged, so we can investigate quickly. This is a request for prompt reporting, not a deadline that removes your legal rights.
For glass and other fragile items, ask to inspect the packaging and goods while the courier is present where practicable and safe. Note visible damage and take clear photographs. If the courier cannot wait, or you accept the parcel before discovering damage, you can still make a claim. Keep the packaging where reasonably possible; missing packaging or photographs does not automatically invalidate a claim.
Stop using a part if it appears unsafe or defective. Use a competent installer for electrical and safety-related parts and follow relevant manufacturer instructions. We may ask for proportionate diagnostic information to distinguish a supplied fault from damage caused by installation or misuse. We assess the evidence fairly and do not require you to surrender statutory remedies.
6. Consumer cancellation: changing your mind
For most distance purchases, you can cancel without giving a reason from placing the order until 14 days after the day you receive the goods. If one order is delivered in separate lots, the period normally ends 14 days after the last lot arrives. The limited exception for genuinely personalised goods is explained in section 8.
Tell us by email, post or another clear statement, including your case conversation. You can use the form in section 13 but do not have to. Giving notice in time exercises the right; waiting for a return number or our approval is not a condition of cancellation.
Send the goods back within 14 days after telling us, unless we offer collection. Contact us promptly for the correct return location and safe transport instructions. Pack the goods with reasonable care and retain proof of dispatch. Original packaging is helpful, but is not a condition of a statutory cancellation.
You pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return only where we told you before the contract that you would have to. For bulky goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we must disclose the return cost or a reasonable estimate before you order; otherwise you do not bear that undisclosed cost. Where goods are faulty, damaged or wrongly supplied, reasonable return costs are our responsibility.
You may inspect goods as you reasonably could in a shop. If handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning reduces their value, we may make a proportionate, evidenced deduction where the law permits. Fitting, use or damage may be relevant to that assessment; they do not create an automatic blanket ban on returns. There is no restocking or cancellation fee for exercising this statutory right.
7. Refund timing and method
For a statutory change-of-mind cancellation where we have not offered collection, we refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the goods back or receiving evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. If we offer to collect, or no goods were supplied, the deadline is 14 days after your cancellation notice. Warehouse inspection does not restart that clock.
Where you cancel the whole order, we refund the standard outbound delivery charge as well as the refundable goods price. An extra amount you chose to pay for an enhanced delivery service need not be refunded. For a partial cancellation we explain any delivery adjustment attributable to the cancelled items.
We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and charge no refund fee. Refunds following rejection of faulty goods have their own legal timing: without undue delay and within 14 days of our agreeing that you are entitled to the refund. We do not substitute store credit without your agreement.
8. Special orders, painted panels, electrical and safety parts
A part is not excluded from consumer cancellation simply because it is labelled “special order”, sourced for you, rare, imported, electrical or safety-related. Ordinary stock parts ordered to fit your vehicle normally retain the distance-selling cancellation right.
The change-of-mind exception applies only to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised. A panel painted to your individual agreed specification may qualify. We must identify the particular customisation and explain the cancellation exception before you commit; selecting a standard option is not automatically enough.
Any applicable exception affects change-of-mind cancellation only. It does not excuse damage, faulty paintwork, the wrong specification or another failure to meet the contract. Electrical and safety parts also retain applicable statutory remedies. Contact us before returning batteries, airbags or other regulated goods so suitable lawful transport can be arranged.
9. Cancellation outside the statutory right
You may ask us to agree a cancellation where there is no statutory cancellation right, including a qualifying personalised order. If we agree, any deduction must reflect reasonable, evidenced net loss caused by cancellation after allowing for costs saved, supplier refunds and resale. We take reasonable steps to reduce that loss.
For this voluntary cancellation arrangement, the deduction is capped at 25% of the price excluding VAT of the affected cancelled goods, or the actual recoverable loss if lower. This is a ceiling, not an automatic 25% fee on the whole order. We explain the calculation. No such deduction applies to a statutory cancellation or a remedy for our breach.
10. Faulty goods and our additional 30-day warranty
Consumer goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose made known and agreed, and as described. For used parts, age, price, description and disclosed condition are relevant; “used” does not mean that all faults are accepted.
For qualifying faults you normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject for a refund. After that, repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or final rejection may be available. A fault appearing within the first six months is generally presumed to have existed on delivery for the repair/replacement and subsequent remedies unless we establish otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the circumstances. These rights can continue beyond six months.
In addition, VINCI REPAIRES LTD provides a free 30-day parts warranty on parts we supply, starting on delivery or collection, for use in the UK. If a part fails during that period under normal intended use, contact us at the email or postal address in section 1 with reasonable proof of purchase and the symptoms. We will assess it and arrange a repair, replacement or refund without charging for a covered remedy or its reasonable return transport. This additional warranty does not cover damage caused after delivery by misuse, incorrect installation or unauthorised modification; an exclusion applies only where relevant to the failure.
The warranty is given by us, not a requirement to pursue an external supplier. Its expiry, an installation invoice being unavailable or failure to report within 7 days does not end your statutory rights. It does not require you to accept repair instead of a statutory refund. It is a parts warranty; any separate legal claim for reasonably foreseeable fitting or other losses is assessed under applicable law.
You can request a written copy of this warranty using the contact details in section 1.
11. Extra packing protection
Additional cushioning and edge protection suited to your parts, a final packing check and a saved photograph of the protected parts before sealing.
Optional, once per order. The 1% charge includes VAT and is calculated on selected parts after discount, plus saved painting. Delivery is excluded. By selecting this option, you ask Vinci to carry out the service before dispatch, including within the cancellation period. You can contact Vinci through your order to cancel this add-on; we refund its full charge if cancelled within 14 days of ordering, even if already performed, or before packing starts if later. We also refund the charge if the service is not provided. This is a packing service, not insurance or a guarantee against damage. Your rights for faulty, damaged or missing goods remain the same without it.
12. Evidence, account restrictions and liability
Send honest information and evidence. Do not fabricate damage, alter evidence to misrepresent a part, or submit a claim you know is false. We may request originals, further photographs or an inspection where reasonably needed. Using an AI writing or accessibility tool to explain a genuine claim is not, by itself, fraud.
Where there is evidence of deliberate deception, a person will review it and give you a reasonable opportunity to explain. We may proportionately restrict an account to protect the service and withhold a benefit obtained through the proven deception. We do not treat an AI-detector score alone as proof, automatically confiscate unrelated benefits or money, or refuse every refund because an account is restricted. You can still contact us outside the account and challenge the decision.
We are responsible for loss that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach or lack of reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. You should take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary loss, such as stopping use of a suspect part. No broad “parts only” or courier disclaimer removes a remedy the law gives you.
13. Optional cancellation form
Complete and send this only if you wish to cancel. An equally clear message is sufficient.

14. Complaints and applicable law
Contact us using section 1 and include your order reference and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and explain our response. If we cannot resolve the complaint, we will provide details of any applicable alternative dispute resolution route and whether we will participate. These terms do not require every UK consumer to sue in London.
